B7 Backup Camera Kit Troubleshooting

Are you experiencing issues with your B7 License Plate Camera Kit? Don't worry, we've got you covered! In this troubleshooting guide, we will address common problems and provide solutions to help you get your license plate camera kit up and running smoothly. Let's dive in!

1. No Power

If your license plate camera kit is not powering on, there are a few things you can check:

  • Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to both the camera and the power source.
  • Check the fuse in the cigarette lighter. If it's blown, contact us at sales@uszeroxclub.com with your order number to replace it.
  • Verify that the power source is functioning properly by testing it with another device. Or test the kit with other available 12V battery.

2. Poor Image Quality

If you're experiencing blurry or distorted images, follow these steps:

  • Make sure the camera lens is clean. Use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe away any dirt or smudges.
  • Adjust  the camera. Find the sweet spot where the image is clear and sharp.
  • Check the camera settings. Ensure that the resolution and image quality settings are appropriately configured.

3. No Video Signal / Blue Screen

If you're not getting any video signal on your display, try the following:

  • You have a loose connection somewhere. Check the cable connections for any loose or damaged cables.
  • Do a hard reset, unplug all cables, leave out for a few seconds and then re-connect them.
  • If it is connected to the reversing lights, check the wiring at both ends. It is possible that the connection to the camera of the connection to the reverse light circuit is either loose or broken. Verify the red positive trigger on power harness cable is put to power 12v+.  Also, double check your camera ground connections. A bad connection can cause problems such as you are experiencing.
  • Verify that the power source is functioning properly by testing it with another device. Or test the kit with other available 12V battery.
  • Verify that the connected power supply is energised.
  • Check the fuse in the cigarette lighter. If it's blown, contact us at sales@uszeroxclub.com with your order number to replace it.

4. Intermittent Connection

If you're experiencing intermittent connection issues, try the following:

  • Check the cable connections for any loose or damaged cables. Replace them if necessary.
  • Reduce interference by keeping the camera away from other electronic devices that may cause signal disruption.
  • Verify that the connected power supply is working properly.

5. Lines/ waves on the screen

If you're getting Lines/ waves on your display, try the following:

  • Test with a cigarette lighter to see if you have the same problem.
  • Power disturbances in the car, test the kit with other available 12V battery.
  • Please order a 12V DC power adapter filter rectifier to solve it, especially need for Dodge VW AUDI BMW Isuzu Mercedes Benz brands vehicle.

If camera is on rear of RV typically the power is supplied by connecting to running light. Power must be on to running light to power camera.
